Chilton Trailers Limited Warranty

All Chilton Trailer products are guaranteed against defective workmanship and materials for a period of 1 year, beginning with delivery to the original user/purchaser. An Original User/Purchaser is defined as the first legal owner of a trailer other than an authorized Chilton dealer. Free extended coverage for an additional 1 year (total of 2 years) is available if you register your warranty card within 30 days of the purchase of your trailer. Complete your warranty registration using the online form below, or mail the completed paper card via regular U.S. mail to:

This limited warranty terminates immediately if you transfer or sell your trailer.

This limited warranty does not cover routine maintenance and is void if the defective part resulted from abuse, overloading, improper installation, environmental damage (such as road hazards, salt, tree sap, or chemicals), automobile accident, misuse, or and act of God (such as wind, lightening, hail or flood).

Warranty of component parts such as axles, tires, lights, plywood, etc. will be issued by the respective manufacturer.

This warranty is limited, at our option, to repair or replace any defective parts at a site designated by Chilton Trailers Manufacturing. All warranty claims must be submitted to Chilton Trailers Manufacturing in writing. Once granted, all parts either manufactured or purchased must be returned to Chilton Trailers Manufacturing freight prepaid for examination.

Reporting Safety Defects

If you believe that your vehicle has a defect that could cause a crash or could cause injury or death, you should immediately inform the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in addition to notifying Chilton Trailers Manufacturing, 101 E. Chestnut Street, Chilton, WI 53014. Telephone 920-849-2221

If NHTSA receives similar complaints, it may open an investigation, and if it finds that a safety defect exists in a group of vehicles, it may order a recall and remedy campaign. However, NHTSA cannot become involved in individual problems between you, your dealer, or Chilton Trailers Manufacturing.
